The best ADHD planner apps in 2026, compared honestly

There isn't one best ADHD planner. There's the one that fixes the part of your day that goes wrong. Here are twelve good apps, what each is best at, who it's not for, what it costs and where it runs.

Updated 6 November 2026. Facts from each app's own pages.

We read each app's own site, help pages and US store listing on 6 November 2026, and we recheck every month. We make Yoodoo, so it's first and we're biased. We've tried to make up for that by saying where every app, ours included, isn't the right pick. Nobody paid to be on this list. Yoodoo is a planner, not a treatment, and nor are the others.

Why I wrote this

I've tried a lot of ADHD planners, before and after building my own. Most of them are good at something. The trick is matching the app to the part of your day that actually goes wrong for you.

So this isn't a "Yoodoo wins everything" list. Every app here, mine included, gets a "not for you if", and every fact links to the app's own page.

1. Best when your day doesn't go to plan

YoodooThat's us

An ADHD day planner that bends when your day breaks. Your tasks and calendar go on one timeline, and when something runs over, one tap fits the rest of the day around what really happened.

My take: Biased, obviously. I built it for the moment the plan stops matching the day, because that was the bit no planner fixed for me.

Good at

  • Fix my day: re-fits the rest of the day in one tap, in the free version
  • A blocker for the apps that eat your mornings, on iPhone and Android (Pro)
  • Say your day out loud and it lands on your timeline
  • Two-way calendar sync (Pro)

Not for you if

  • You want a native iPad, Apple Watch or Mac app (on a computer, Yoodoo runs in the browser with Pro)
  • You need it in a language other than English, for now
  • You want lots of lists and habits for free (Lite has one list and one habit)
Price
Lite is free. Pro is $59.99 a year (7 days free), $7.99 a month or $149.99 once
Runs on
iPhone and Android, plus web and desktop with Pro
Yoodoo's timeline: tasks and calendar events on one day, with the free gaps and a now line

2. Best calm, visual planner on Apple devices

Tiimo

A calm, colourful visual planner, and Apple's iPhone App of the Year for 2025. It has a free version, with Pro adding things like AI task breakdown.

My take: The prettiest planner on this list, and it earned its awards. If the look gets you opening it every day, that's half the battle.

Good at

  • A gentle, icon-led schedule
  • iPad and Apple Watch apps
  • A good free version

Not for you if

  • You want your plans to sync back to your calendar: Tiimo imports calendars, it doesn't sync both ways
  • You're on Android and want everything now: Tiimo says it's building towards the same features as iPhone
Price
Free version. Tiimo Pro is listed at $54 on the US App Store (it lists other Pro prices too)
Runs on
iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Android and web

3. Best on a budget

Structured

A clean, visual day planner that puts your tasks and calendar on one timeline. Tidy, quick and cheap, with a good free version.

My take: The one I'd recommend to most people on a budget. Clean, quick, and the free version is generous.

Good at

  • A simple timeline that's quick to fill
  • Low price, and a lifetime option
  • Apple Watch, iPad and Mac apps

Not for you if

  • You're on Android and want Replan, which its help centre says is on Apple devices only
  • You want calendar sync both ways
Price
Free version. Pro is $29.99 a year or $99.99 lifetime on the US App Store (it lists other prices too)
Runs on
iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, Android (fewer features) and web

4. Best for one task at a time

Llama Life

A focused to-do list where every task gets its own countdown. You work down the list one timer at a time and see when you'll finish.

My take: Simple in the best way. A timer on every task keeps you on one thing at a time.

Good at

  • Timeboxing each task
  • Seeing your list's total time and finish time
  • Very little to set up

Not for you if

  • You want your meetings and tasks on one timeline of the day
  • You want a free version (it's a 7-day trial, then paid)
Price
$39 a year or $6 a month on the US App Store, 7-day trial
Runs on
Web, iPhone and Android

5. Best free helper for getting started

Goblin Tools

A set of small, single-job AI tools, mainly built for neurodivergent people. Magic ToDo breaks a task into steps; others estimate how long things take, change the tone of a message, and turn a brain dump into a list.

My take: One of the most useful free things on the internet for ADHD brains. Magic ToDo is brilliant for starting scary tasks.

Good at

  • Breaking a scary task into tiny steps
  • Free on the web, with no ads
  • Cheap phone app

Not for you if

  • You want a planner: there's no timeline or calendar
  • You need reminders through the day
Price
Free on the web. The iPhone app is $0.99 on the US App Store, with an optional Pro at $3.99 a month or $39.99 a year
Runs on
Web, iPhone, iPad and Android

6. Best for learning how your ADHD works

Inflow

A self-help programme for adults with ADHD with modules it calls CBT-inspired, an AI companion called Quinn, and coaching on some plans.

My take: More a programme than a planner, and a good one if you're still working out how your ADHD shows up.

Good at

  • Understanding your ADHD, a little each day
  • An AI companion to talk things through
  • Coaching, on the higher plans

Not for you if

  • You want a planner for your actual day
  • You want a free version (the plans are paid)
Price
$95.99 a year without coaching or $199.99 a year with coaching on the US App Store (it lists other plans too)
Runs on
iPhone and Android

7. Best for gentle self-care habits

Finch

A self-care app where you look after a little bird by looking after yourself: goals, mood check-ins, journaling and breathing.

My take: One of the kindest apps around. Great for small habits, but it won't plan your day.

Good at

  • Making small daily habits feel kind and fun
  • Mood and reflection
  • Free to start

Not for you if

  • You need to plan a working day around meetings
  • You want time blocks and timers
Price
Free download. Finch Plus prices vary; the US App Store lists them from $5.99 to $69.99
Runs on
iPhone, iPad and Android

8. Best all-in-one with a free plan

Lunatask

Tasks, habits, mood, a journal and notes in one end-to-end encrypted app, with time blocking and task timers. It says it was designed with ADHD brains in mind.

Good at

  • Everything in one place
  • A generous free plan
  • Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone and Android

Not for you if

  • You want something that plans for you rather than a toolbox you set up
Price
Free plan. Premium is $6 a month billed yearly, or $8 monthly
Runs on
Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone and Android

9. Best for tinkerers

Amazing Marvin

A to-do app you shape around how your brain works, turning on only the features you want from hundreds of settings.

My take: If you love tweaking settings until an app fits your brain exactly, nothing comes close. If settings overwhelm you, it's a lot.

Good at

  • Deep customisation
  • Desktop apps for Mac and Windows
  • Student and pay-what-you-can discounts

Not for you if

  • Setting things up is where you lose the day
  • You want a free plan
Price
$96 a year, 14-day trial with no card
Runs on
Web, Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android

10. Best fun focus timer

Focus Friend

A focus timer with a little bean who knits while you focus. Finishing sessions earns things for the bean's room.

Good at

  • Making a focus session feel like a game
  • Deep Focus mode to lock distracting apps
  • Cheap

Not for you if

  • You need a plan for the whole day: it's a timer, not a planner
Price
Free. Pro is $19.99 a year or $3.99 a month on the US App Store
Runs on
iPhone, iPad and Android

11. Best to-do list

Todoist

One of the best-known to-do list apps, with fast capture, projects and sharing, on nearly every device.

My take: A brilliant list, and it's on every device. A list just isn't a day, so it works best next to a planner.

Good at

  • Capturing everything fast
  • Projects and sharing
  • Every platform, Wear OS included

Not for you if

  • You want your day laid out in real time on a timeline
Price
Free plan. Pro is $60 a year ($5 a month billed yearly) or $7 monthly
Runs on
iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, Windows, Linux, web, Apple Watch and Wear OS

12. Best for planning at a desk

Sunsama

A calm daily planner for busy professionals, with a guided planning routine and your work tools in one place.

My take: Lovely if your day lives on a laptop. Less so if it lives on your phone.

Good at

  • Pulling in tasks from Slack, Asana and Trello
  • A daily planning routine

Not for you if

  • Your day lives on your phone
  • You want a free version (it says it doesn't plan to have one)
Price
$17 a month billed yearly ($204 a year) or $22 monthly, 14-day trial with no card
Runs on
Web, Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone, iPad and Android

What makes a planner work for ADHD

We’ve built Yoodoo with ADHD’ers since 2022, and these are the things we’ve seen matter most. They’re opinions from building a product, not clinical advice.

  1. It survives the day going wrong. Every plan breaks. A planner that makes you rebuild it by hand gets abandoned by Wednesday.
  2. Time is visible. A timeline, a countdown or a “now” line beats a list with no times on it. Read more about time blindness.
  3. Getting stuff in takes seconds. If adding a task takes a form, it won’t get added. Say it, type it, dump it.
  4. The first step is small. Big tasks need breaking down before they can start. See ADHD paralysis.
  5. It’s kind. No red overdue piles and no streaks that shame you for a day off.

Free ADHD planner apps

Free versions worth using: Yoodoo Lite (Day view, Fix my day, focus timer), Structured, Tiimo, Goblin Tools on the web, Finch, Lunatask’s free plan, Focus Friend and Todoist’s free plan.

ADHD planner apps for Android

All twelve have Android apps. Feature sets can differ from iPhone: Structured’s help centre lists Replan as Apple-only, and Tiimo says its rebuilt Android app (May 2026) is still working towards the same features as iPhone. Yoodoo’s features are the same on both. For more, see the best ADHD apps for Android.

Try Yoodoo

Bring your calendar in, brain dump your lists, and the first time something runs over, try Fix my day. Lite is free for good after the 7-day trial, and Pro adds the blocker, Ask Yoodoo, two-way calendar sync and the web app.

Questions

What is the best ADHD planner app?
The best one is the one that fixes the part of your day that goes wrong. If your plans break by lunchtime, Yoodoo re-fits the rest of the day in one tap. For a calm visual schedule on Apple devices, Tiimo. On a budget, Structured. For one task at a time, Llama Life. For getting started on scary tasks, Goblin Tools.
What's the best free ADHD planner app?
Yoodoo Lite is free for good, with the Day view, Fix my day and the focus timer. Structured and Tiimo have good free versions, Lunatask has a free plan, and Goblin Tools is free on the web.
What's the best ADHD planner app for Android?
All twelve apps here are on Android. Yoodoo's features, including Fix my day and the app blocker, are the same as on iPhone. Some apps have fewer features on Android: Structured's help centre lists Replan as Apple-only, and Tiimo says its Android app is still catching up with iPhone.
Do ADHD apps actually help?
A planner can't change how your brain works, and none of these apps is a treatment. What a good one can do is make time visible, shrink the first step and help you recover when the day slips. If you're struggling, talk to your doctor too.
Is there an ADHD planner that works with ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes. Yoodoo works with Claude and ChatGPT: plan your day in a chat and it lands on your timeline. See Yoodoo in your AI apps.
How did you choose these apps?
We looked at the apps people ask us about and the ones on the most-read lists. Then we checked each app's own site and store listing for price, platforms and features. We recheck monthly. Nobody paid to be included.
